Our International Summer Camp Community
At Windridge, campers become part of a community that reaches across the country and around the world. Each summer, children come from big cities, small towns, and everywhere in between. Many arrive not knowing anyone, and by the end of their first session they have friends from places they may never have heard of before. These friendships often last well beyond camp, and they are one of the things families tell us they value most.

Summer After Summer
Many of our campers return year after year, and it is easy to see why. Each summer, they pick up right where they left off, reuniting with friends from around the world, building on the skills they developed the summer before, and taking on new challenges while they are with us. In recent summers, about 6 in 10 campers have returned to Windridge. Many go on to become Counselors-in-Training (CITs) and, eventually, members of our staff, carrying on the traditions and care that made camp so special for them. We are also proud to welcome many second generation campers, children of Windridge alumni who now share camp with a new generation. For many families, Windridge becomes a summer tradition and a family away from home.
Getting to Windridge
No matter where your family lives, getting to and from Windridge is easy. On opening and closing days of our regular sessions, we offer charter bus transportation from New York City, with stops in Darien and Hartford, Connecticut, as well as van shuttles to and from Burlington and Boston airports. Rookie Session campers can use transportation on opening days, but camp transportation is not offered on Rookie Session closing days.
We also welcome campers flying as unaccompanied minors. On arrival, our staff meet them as they come through security. On departure, our staff wait with them at the gate until boarding and stay at the airport until the plane has taken off.
