Windridge, a family run, private residential camp with a sports focus in tennis, soccer, horseback riding and golf, has been in business since 1968. We have a small year-round staff, and hire upwards of ninety people to help us operate in the summer months.

Windridge, a family run, private residential camp with a sports focus that has been in business for over 55 years has an immediate opening for an experienced office manager to join its year-round team. We are seeking an organized individual who is excited to take on a new experience.
Desired Qualifications:
The office manager should be organized, flexible, hard working, charismatic, able to handle a fast paced work environment, have the ability to relate to people of a variety of ages, be able to spend summers living at camp, and have strong computer and communication skills. This person will play a central role in all aspects of camp including: parent communication, bookkeeping, camp operations and admin, and more.
This position provides the opportunity to make a big impact at a well-established camp that is looking for someone to join our wonderful team.

Windridge has an opening this Spring for an experienced camp facility assistant to join its year-round team.
The Facilities Assistant will be expected to take care of and oversee our lawn care team and needs. The ideal candidate should be hard working, have skills in facility upkeep and lawn care, have a driver's license, and at least one year working in maintenance. Experience with zero turn mowers, string trimmers, and tractors is preferred, but we will train the right person.
This is a full-time position with responsibility for the maintenance of our 200 acre grounds and facility, buildings, vehicles etc.

If you are passionate about cooking and have previous kitchen experience, then we want to hear from you. Windridge Tennis & Sports Camps is seeking a hard-working, self-motivated Executive Chef to join our team. Our camp operates from June through August. The Executive Chef will manage the kitchen, develop menus and create kid-friendly meals. The ideal candidate for this position is creative, enthusiastic and passionate about food. Those with previous experience are encouraged to apply. Windridge is located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. Compensation is based on experience, a travel stipend, room and board included. This contract is based on a 6 day working week with 1 day off.
Desired Qualifications
• Previous camp chef/kitchen experience
• Experience in a camp or institutional food-service setting
• Experience supervising food service staff and with staff scheduling
• Ability to create healthy menus
• Experience with food vendors and the ability to order quality food
• Ability to train staff in proper food service policies and procedures
• Must have experience with allergies and preparing special meals for those with allergies, special dietary needs or food sensitivities
• Work history with J1 Visa staff
• Ability to accept guidance and supervision
• Good character, integrity, and adaptability
• Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control
• Desire and ability to work in a camp setting
Experience:
• Culinary experience: 2 years (Preferred)

General Responsibilities
To supervise campers in activities and their living units in a manner consistent with and supportive of the goals of the Windridge experience - a camp where campers make a commitment to hard work, good sportsmanship, and wholesome fun and laughter amidst a warm and friendly environment in a caring atmosphere.

• Training and experience in playing and coaching or teaching tennis

• High school graduate or equivalent, or at least 18 years of age
Specific responsibilities
• Guide campers in an assigned living unit in participating in all aspects of camp activities in a non-threatening atmosphere that allows for success and the ability to learn from failure.
• Teach or lead tennis classes to campers and supervise camper matches.
• Assist each camper in meeting the goals and objectives established by the camp as outlined in the camp’s philosophy.
• Supervise all assigned aspects of the campers’ day including morning wake-up, cabin clean-up, meal times, rest hour, bedtime and after-hours duty.
• Leads by example in observing camp rules and regulations and carries out established role in enforcing camp rules and safety regulations.
• Instruct campers in emergency procedures such as fire drills, evacuating the cabin, etc.
• Help campers plan their participation in tennis classes, free activities, camp-wide programs and special events.
• Prepare for and actively participate in staff training, meetings, and supervisory conferences.
• Maintain good public relations with campers’ parents.
• Willing to use appropriate discipline techniques as instructed during staff training and on-going by supervisory staff.
• Respect and cooperate with fellow staff and administrators.
• Assist with tennis facility preparation and maintenance as needed.
